Prioritized Daily Task

Note:  I read diligently the Book of Mormon from beginning to end, in close connection with the comments of Origen Bachelor, Laroy Sunderland, and Dr. Hurlburt, together with newspapers and some private letters obtained from the surviving friends of Mr. Spaulding, the supposed author of that Book. I arose from its perusal with a strong conviction on my mind that its pages were graced with the pen of inspiration. I was surprised that so little fault could be found with a book of such magnitude, treating as it did of such diversified subjects, through a period of so many generations. It appeared to me that no enemy to truth or godliness would ever take the least interest in publishing the contents of such a book; such appeared to me to be its godly bearing, sound morality and harmony with ancient scriptures, that the enemy of all righteousness might as well proclaim the dissolution of his own kingdom, as to spread the contents of such a volume among men: and from that time to this, every effort made by its enemies to demolish, has only shown how invincible a fortress defends it. If no greater breach can be made upon it than has hitherto been made by those who have attacked it with the greatest animosity and diligence, its overthrow may be considered a forlorn hope. On this subject, I only ask the friends of pure religion to read the Book of Mormon with the same unprejudiced, prayerful, and teachable spirit that they would recommend unbelievers in the ancient scriptures to read those sacred records. I have not spoken of the external evidence of the truth of the Book of Mormon, which is now worthy of much consideration; but the internal evidence I think will satisfy every honest mind.  Orson Spencer (2 Jan 1843)

As the Bible is to the Old World, so the Book of Mormon is to the New World.

I got up at about 7 a.m. and had my personal prayer.  Matt went to bed sometime this morning.  I did not wake him but checked on paying tithing and credit card bills.  I started studying scriptures on video, Book of Mormon introduction, Come Follow Me with Jared Halverson.  I called and talked to Debbie this morning and we had prayer together.  Matthew and I picked up and cleaned some of the cabin.   Matthew talked to Gary, the owner of the office suite, he rented from for several years in downtown Provo.  While Matthew was taking care of the two dogs, Sunny and Snowball.  I packed my clothes and some food, pecan pie, and Guanabana ice cream I did not want to be thrown away.  We drove down to Provo and met Gary and the carpet installer.  Matthew negotiated a price of $600 a month rent for 650 sq. ft. with new carpet.  We stopped at a shack behind the barber shop and Matthew got an energy drink.  From there we visited the Kia, Hyundai, Subaru, Lincoln, Ford, etc dealerships offering 0% financing for 36 months on certain models.  I called Debbie who was taking food to Libby's in Provo.   She met us at Tucano's Brazillian Restaurant where we continued to celebrate Debbie's 72nd birthday.  After dinner, Matthew drove back up to the cabin to let the dogs out of their cages and take them for a walk.  He also gave them water and food.  Debbie and I came home and Debbie took some inhalant medicine over to Jared's for him and those in the family who are sick.  Debbie washed and dried bed linen and towels.  I brought the 8 folding chairs upstairs down to the garage and covered them, picked up the mail, and brought in the recycle and garbage container from the street the city of Lehi picked up today.  We watched some TV, and had prayer before going to bed about midnight.
