 30 Apr 2024, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Task Melodie McAlpin's 43rd Birthday  *World War II Documentary about  Major Karl Plagge a German Nazi who save Jews during the Holocaust in Lithuania  We slept in, had prayer, and started the day.  We sent Melodie a happy birthday wish.  I did 40 pushups, took my Levothyroxine 88 Mcg, and checked my weight (184 lbs), and glucose blood sugar (104).  Debbie and I vacuumed, dusted, and mopped the floors today.  I watched a documentary about * Major Karl Plagge a German Nazi who save many Jewish families from the gas chambers.  Not all were saved archaeologist have used GPR, Ground Penetrating Radar, as I had a company from Atlanta to locate graves at the William Alexander and Manah McAlpin graveyard. Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) or electrical resistivity imaging (ERI) a geophysical technique for imaging sub-surface structures was also used.  I did a second round of 40 pushups before going with Debbie to Clara's softball game at

 28 Apr 2024, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task 8 am - set up chairs in our ward building for church services 9 am - Sacrament meeting Lehi 7th Ward 10:30 am - Church services at Abbington Memory Center  I was up early, had prayer, showered, and shaved.  When Debbie woke we had prayer together.  At 8 am I went to the ward building to set up chairs for church services today.  The building had not been cleaned again this week.  I learned that the ward who had the assignment has been assigned to attend another ward building in our stake.  The assignment changes in May to the Lehi 7th Ward to clean the building.  I went back home at 9 am and picked Debbie up.  We attended sacrament and at 10:15 am we drove to Abbington Memory Center and set up the dining and recreation room for church services.   Bishop Yates came with some of the members of the Lehi 7th Ward for services here today.  After the sacrament meeting the priesthood helped put everything back in its place.  Debbie and I came home a

 27 Apr 2024, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task Pack for trip with 12-year-old grandchildren next week Debbie went for a walk.  I slept in, had prayer, and checked my glucose blood sugar level, it was 83.  Debbie got back and we had prayer together; worked on the air travel and cruise next week.  Debbie went to spend time with Karlene at her grandson's ballgame.  I went to the gym and exercised. On the way home I stopped and got some Almond Milk and an angel food cake.  At home, I listened to Mosiah, chapters 4-6, Come Follow Me lesson this coming week, and had a slice of angel food cake and some hot (warm) chocolate.  Debbie got home and put her feet in the vibrating machine Karlene let her use.  Joe L. will not use it.  It worked well for Debbie and did not hurt her as much as it did Joe L.  I put the movie, The Legend of Johnny Lingo while she kept her feet in the vibrating machine.   I walked to the mailbox and the Holy Spirit suggested or invited me to go by and check on Glenn

 26 Apr 2024, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task 9:00 AM - Samantha Gourley Traveller's graduation from BYU National Park - check out other trailheads about 8 miles from park entrance at Aspin Grove.  It is closed until May 24th because of snow 11:00 AM - Alexander McAlpin graduation from BYU Lunch at Chopola's Mexican Restaurant in Orem at the mall parking lot Open the door to Matt's office in Provo and help Michael move Alex's 75" TV in from her apartment Michale and Autumn catch a flight home from Provo Airport I had prayer, showered, and shaved, while Debbie went for her walk she takes in the mornings.   When she got home we had prayer together and ate breakfast.  I drove the Subaru to the entrance of the Aspin Grove entrance to the  Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.  I learned from the ranger at the gate, the Timpooneke Trail is closed until May 24 because of the snow.  I drove back to the Marriott Center at BYU in Provo and saved 6 seats.  Michael brought Alex

 25 Apr 2024, Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task 1:00 pm - Alex's graduation dinner at Los Hermanos in downtown Provo I slept in, had prayer, showered and shaved; Debbie was up early and is working ing the garden.  Later we had prayer together and I went to the gym to exercise.  Later Debbie and I met Michael, Autumn, Alex, Gavin, Blake, Gracie, and Jin, Jill McEwin's daughter, T.J, Jin's husband who enjoys hiking, Mallery, Ester, her boyfriend, and others at Hermanos Mexican Restaurant, 1 E Center St, Provo, UT.  We gave Alex and Gavin both a money lei and a graduation card.  We will be on a cruise with the 12-year-old grandchildren when Gavin graduates.  Blake, Michael, Gaven,  Chase, and some others were walking out of the restaurant and west across US Hwy. 189  and Blake does a backflip in the middle of the street in front of all the cars waiting for the light to change green so they could go.  We took some pictures and Michael sent me some pictures from his trip to Ukrai

21 Apr 2024, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task 8:00 am - set up chairs for church services in our ward building 9:00 am - Lehi 7th Ward 12:15 pm - give stewardship report to Brother Leatham I was up at 7 am, had prayer, showered, shaved, and got ready for church.  Debbie got up before I left and we had prayer.  When I got to the ward building to set up the chairs I saw the building had not been cleaned from last week.  I got the vacuum and started in the chapel.  The elders and some of their families came later and set up the chairs for church services today.  I finished hitting the high places just in time to go and get Debbie for church.  She met me walking and we attended Sacrament and Sunday School meetings.  After church, we came home and had lunch.  I called and talked to Matthew, Beth, and Rae Lynn.  Michael did not answer his phone.  I think he is in Ukrnian; Matthew saw his picture on Facetime.  I called James "Jim" Russell, Doris McAlpin was his wife.  He will be 90 on

19 Apr 2024, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Cooper Traveller's 23rd Birthday I woke at 6 am.  I had a good night's sleep.  I sent Cooper a birthday text wish from me and Debbie.  Debbie and I had prayer together before I left to hike up the 'Y' mountain in Provo.  She and Jody left a few minutes later.  They spent the day together and this evening took Cooper to dinner for his 23rd birthday.  I took honey and crunchy peanut sandwiches, grapes, almonds, and hydration water with me and spent the day, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm hiking.  Shawn Smith in Rome, GA returned my call from earlier and brought me up to date on his, his wife, April, and his son Britol's life.  I told him to not let Bristol forget the promise he made to me about 15 years ago on a Father and Son Outing with the Rome Ward.  He would invite me to go with him when he gets married and has a son who is old enough to go on a Father and Son Outing.  I also talked to Matthew while I was on the mountain.  He

 17 Apr 2024, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task Anndalyn Hobbs's 42nd Birthday 7:45 am - 12:00 noon, hike the 'Y' 3:30 pm - The Massage Barre    located at the Young Living Global Headquarters, 1538 W Sandalwood Dr, Lehi, UT 84043 Phone  801-823-1823 I was up at about 5:30 am, had prayer, and packed some food and water.  Debbie was up before I left and we had prayer together.  She is going with Karlene to take Joe L. to the hospital this morning.  I drove to the 'Y' in Provo and hiked from about 7:45 am until about 12 noon.   It was consistent hiking, a mile up and a mile down until I stopped for a 30-minute lunch break I had planned.  But I had not planned on being so tired and sore.  After I ate my lunch, a sandwich, chips, and fruit, I decided to take another 30-minute break.   At 1 pm I decided I had done enough hiking for the day.  I went home and talked to Debbie who was taking Take to a late lunch for his birthday a few days ago.  I drove over to the Message

 16 Apr 2024, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Task Joe L and Karlene Higham are spending the night 9:45 am - Saratoga Springs Temple proxy endowment appointment 11:30 am - Saratoga Springs Temple proxy sealing appointment  We had prayer, showered, and got ready for the day.  We got to the Saratoga Springs Temple at about 9 am.  The endowment session was about full, mostly sisters.  After our sealing session, we came home and I canceled my subscription to Epoch Time which is sent to my email address.  I got ready for my hike tomorrow to the 'Y' hill in Provo.  I had prayer with Debbie and went to bed early.  Debbie stayed up and waited on her sister and Joe L.  They arrived late.  Joe L. has an appointment with his doctors regarding his kidneys and the possibility for a transplant if they can find a donor.

 11 Apr 2024, 'Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task 7;45 AM - Saratoga Springs Temple proxy initiatory session Call Phil Davis at Alpha Graphics Printing (801-897-2695) Debbie was up every two hours last night and finally got up at 5 am and stayed up.  When I woke I had my personal prayer and then we had prayer together.   I called Dan Truitt to check on 1st quarter estimated state and federal taxes for 2024.  I called Phil Davis about the recall printing of my 2023 journal.  The girl who was handling it is no longer working and he did not know about it.  He said he would check and call me back.  I called Michael and Matthew and texted Michael about getting my Canon MF4700 printer working with my Mac computer.  I ordered some reading and a pair of sunglasses online this morning before going to get the car washed and to exercise at the Legacy Center.  I went with Debbie to see Clara pitch at a softball game at Long Peak High School.  They were playing against Pleasant Grove High School.

 10 Apr 2024, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task 9:45 am - Saratoga Springs Temple proxy endowment session 11:30 am - Saratoga Springs Temple proxy sealing session 12:30 pm - Saratoga Springs Temple proxy sealing session Debbie did not sleep well last night.  She was up several times.  We had prayer together.  We part of the day in the temple doing endowments and sealings for those who have passed on.  We got home and Debbie laid down on the bed.  Her legs and feet are swollen.   I called Brad Gale and took her into the office.  He gave her a prescription for Furosemide 20 mg (Lasix) and Potassium Chloride   I went to the Legacy Center to exercise and walk for an hour.  I stopped at Costco on the way home and picked up Debbie's medicine.  When I got home I fixed dinner and served Debbie's meal to her in bed.  I turned the TV on and she watched part of the Moses movie before we had prayer together and went to bed.
