I was up at 7 am, had prayer, showered, shaved, and got ready for the day. I received a text last night that Alex, Carter, Preston, and Max are going to Terry McEwin to watch General Conference this morning. I went over to Abbington Memory Center to talk to the C As that, we will not be helping with church here today. I asked the aids to get conference on the big screen TV for the residents to watch. I came home and did a glucose test, the blood sugar reading was 90. At 10:00 AM, Presidency Henry B. Eyring, Second Counselor in the First Presidency, conducted the morning session. President Russell M. Nelson watched the proceedings from home.

I called and checked on Bobbie Philips. She is 90 and worked for James and me as our regional director of the nursing homes for years. She is not in real good health. I called called Rae Lynn and talked to her and Weston. She and Beth are planning a family reunion from July 8th to 15th this year in New Port Beach. At 2:00 pm Elder Quentin L. Cook, a member of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles, conducted the afternoon meeting. I listened to the second session and final session of the 2024 April General Conference.
Elder D. Todd Christofferson spoke on 'The Testimony of Jesus’. The concluding speaker, President Russell M. Nelson: ‘Rejoice in the Gift of Priesthood Keys’. He told about 3 of those keys restored in the Kirtland Temple to Joseph Smith. When Russell Marion Nelson was born on September 9, 1924. There were 6 operating temples at that time. He and Dallin H. Oaks were called to be apostles 40 years ago on April 7, 1984. This year in March the Church purchased the Kirtland Temple from the Community of Christ Church. Christ, Moses, Elias, and Elijah appeared to Joseph Smith and 3 keys were restored making it possible for the Earth to be prepared for the ushering in of the millennial reign of our Savior Jesus Christ. President Nelson announced 15 new temples that will be built; one of them in Lehi, Utah where Debbie and I live.
After conference, I cooked and ate dinner. Afterward, I drove to the SLC Airport and met Ryan, Carter, Mckay, and Drew where Debbie, Stephanie, Kylie, and Abbey came through immigration and security. I gave Ryan the hard copy of the tax information Gerald Searle CPA in Idaho Falls sent to Debbie by Karlene. I had sent Ryan a digital copy earlier. Ryan took his family back to Wellsville near Logan and Debbie and I came home. It is good having Debbie back. Her legs and feet are badly swollen. I rubbed her back, we had prayer together, and went to bed about 11:30 pm.
