Note: Hinduism:  A Hindu views the entire universe as God's and everything in the universe as God.  Hindus believe in the doctrines of samsara (the continuous cycle of life, death, and reincarnation). The word Hindu is a Persian term meaning “river".  Hinduism has approximately 1.2 billion adherents worldwide (15% of the world's population). Hindu scriptures promote a vegetarian dietary ideal based on the concept of ahimsa—non-violence and compassion towards all beings.  Hindus do not consider the cow to be a god and they do not worship it.  The cow has been gradually incorporated into a religious ritual and itself became sacred and an object of veneration from the 4th century BCE. It represents Mother Earth, as it is a source of goodness and its milk nourishes all creatures.  Hindus, however, are vegetarians and they consider the cow to be a sacred symbol of life that should be protected and revered. In the Vedas, the oldest of the Hindu scriptures, the cow is associated with Aditi, the mother of all the gods

I was up at 6:30 a.m., had prayer, and dressed while Debbie slept.  It snowed last night and is still snowing.  There is several inches in the driveway.  I shoveled the snow off the steps, walk, and driveway.  Debbie woke, got dressed in warm clothes, and came out to help.  She swept off the snow that had fallen where I had shoveled.  I put out salt on the area Debbie had swept.  At 8 a.m. I drove to the ward building.  One of the brothers was clearing the snow off the walkway and had opened the building.  I went in and started setting up chairs.  Brothers started coming and by 8:35 a.m. we had a good crew setting up chairs in the overflow, primary, and Relief Society room.  When we finished I came home, picked Debbie up and we attended Sacrament and Testimony Meeting at 9 a.m.  Afterward, at 10 a.m. we drove over to Abbington Memory Center and set up for church services at 10:15 am.  Brother and Sister Roberts from the 18th Ward came but in a few minutes we started; by 10:30 am there was a good group, less than 40 for church including the residents.   After church services, we had plenty of help putting chairs, table, podium, etc. up.  We came home.  Jared and Tate came by and borrowed some carrots and onions for a stew they were cooking.  Everyone in their house is getting over a cold.  At one p.m. Debbie and I drove over to Bluffdale to attend the ordination of Autrey to the office of a Teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood and Braddock receiving the Aaronic Priesthood and being ordained a Deacon both by their father, Patrick Hobbs in their bishop's office in their ward building just up the hill from their home.  Lindann Chenney and Randy Hobbs were there.  Patrick was the voice, the Bishop, Camden (older brother), Randy, and I were in the circle.  It is still snowing.  Debbie and I came home, had prayer, and broke our fast.  We finished watching/listening to "Church History Matters: The First Vision Series" by Nick Gslieti and Scott Woodard with guest, Steven C. Harper.  When we got home Debbie filed a light dinner, we had prayer, and broke our fast.  I talked to Beth today and called Matt, Michael, and Rae Lynn but got their answering machine.  I left them all messages that I love them.  Debbie and I had prayer together, and I read before got to bed early.  I have a list of things I want to get done tomorrow and will get an early start.
