I was up at 6:00 am, had prayer, showered, shaved, and got ready for the day. When Debbie woke we had prayer together. I took the Subaru SUV and had it washed. I stopped at Costco and filled it with gas. I stopped at the Dollar Store and bought some cards and a balloon. I stopped at Dan Hammond's and left the balloon. I asked him to bring the CO2 bottles inside tonight. I will pick them up tomorrow with the Valentine's balloon. I called and talked to Jennnifer Haygood. She sent me her husband, Dave's, address at Abbington Assisted Livington in Layton, UT. Debbie and I had brunch and drove up to Abbington Assisted Living in Layton near the hospital. We had a good visit with Dave. We talked about his boys and the grandchildren. He is going down but was happy we came by. Debbie and I had a prayer with him before we left. Jody called and talked to Debbie almost all the way to Ryan and Stephanie in Wellsville. Stephanie was the first to get home, then Kylie, and Carter. I called Smart Wave Solar and they are sending someone out to add an outlet in the garage to charge an EV. I spoke with Lilly in customer service. She is making a ticket or work order and emailing it. I went with Debbie to take Mckay to dinner at Jimmy Johns'. Afterward, we drove to Ridge Line High School to see Abbie a Junior in High School play against her sister's, Kylie's High School, Mountain Crest. Mountain Crest is one of the better girls's high school basketball teams but at the beginning of the 4th quarter, they were still in single digits on the scoreboard. Ridgeline girls' basketball team this year has won the regional competition for the 3rd time in a row. The year before last they placed 2nd in the state tournaments and last year they were first. They are one of 8 high school girls' basketball teams in the nation invited, all expenses paid, to compete in New York in the Throne a Tournament sponsored by the Women's National Basketball Association. The W.N.B.A. is offering Emliee Skinner a Jr. who will be playing in the invitational tournament a contract now to play in the WNBA. I think about Elsie Wright another Jr. on the team who was born without a left hand who will be playing with and against some of the very best high school girl basketball players in the world. I thought about Luke 1:37, "With God nothing is impossible." People who know her say, she is one of the sweetest, kindest, humble, and loving girls they have ever known. She does not know she is handicapped. When we got home Ryan and Stephanie and all the children, Kylie, Abbie, Carter, Mckay, and Drew were there; Debbie and I joined in Family Prayer. We gave Ryan, Stephanie and the family a copy of Debbie and my Thoughts and Quotes for 2023 and a copy of the book The Opportunity. Later Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed. I am glad I came with Debbie today. I had heard of Abbie's basketball team but I had no idea they were as good as they are.
