 27 May 2024, Monday Priorit ized Daily Task Shelly Idaho - place flowers on family and care for graves Debbie and I had prayer and got ready for the day.  I studied scriptures, and Debbie cooked eggs for breakfast.  We drove out to Reed's shop and office at the potato celers.  He had some ties for Debbie to fasten the flower plant containers to the medal hanger at Karl and Jalna's graves.  Debbie and I drove up and put flowers on Sealander's graves, then south of Idaho Fall to Johannesens' and Ellies' graves, and then to Shelly and put flowers on Oler's and Searl's graves.  They were Debbie's parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.   She showed me at the feet (west) of Karl and Jalna's is were she and Reed want to be buried and Karlene to be buried to their side (south).  We went to Jalna home and checked on things that need to be repaired or corrected but they can sell eht house.  We stopped at Karlene and Joe L's who a...

 26 May 2024, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task 8:00 am - help set up chairs for church in ward building 9:00 am - Lehi 7th Ward Sacrament meeting 10:30 am - Abbington Memory Center church Find a substitute to cover for Debbie and me at Abbington Memory Center on July 9th while we are in Ireland.  I called and emailed  Darrell Harmon.  He is on the Gateway Stake High Council and has the assignment for Abbington Memory Center.  " Thanks for agreeing to help us cover church services at Abbington Memory Center on July 7th. We arrive at 10:00 am.   The ward in charge of services usually arrives between 10:20 and 10:30, the time scheduled for services to start. The staff, usually two CAs, have the chairs set up with the podem and sacrament table in the hall, but this is not always the case especially if the staff is new.   We let any job that requires priesthood be handled by the priesthood, such as setting up the sacrament to be administer...

 25 May 2024, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task Pack to travel to Shelly, Idaho, and to San Clemente, CA  Debbie and I had prayer together.  I got an excellent night's sleep and improving in getting over my cold, but it is still hanging on.  I studied scriptures, had brunch, and took my antibiotic medicine; it is raining today, I packed for our trip to Idaho tomorrow to put flowers on Debbie's family's graves, and my trip to San Clemente for Blake's graduation next week.  I get back on Tuesday, June 4th, and leave for the cruise and trip to Ireland on Friday, June 7th.  We gathered up the trash and I took it outside to the garbage containers but did not take it to the street.  Next Monday is Memorial Dad and the trash will not be picked up by Waste Mangement, Inc., WM, who has contracted with the City of Lehi for garbage pick-up.  Debbie worked on out tours while in Ireland in June and July.  I printed copies of our tickets and receipts....

 24 May 2024, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task 3:15 pm - Tylee Hobbs graduation from Lehi High School at UVCU, Utah Valley University. 800 West University Parkway, Orem, UT I slept well, had prayer, showered, shaved, dressed, and Debbie and I had prayer.  Dan Owen sent me a text suggesting I prepare for coddling moths in the fruit trees.  I order 500 mesh 4X6 bags to cover the fruit to keep the moths off.  I went with Debbie to UVCU at 3:30 pm to attend Tylee's graduation from Lehi High School.  Afterward, we went to dinner at the Strap Tank on Outlet Parkway in Lehi.  Jered paid; I tried to get him to take some cash but he refused pushing it back in my hand.  Tylee's parents, Jared and Jami Hobbs, her younger brothers, Porter, Tate, Max, and Jack, Tylee's grandparents, Lynn and Miranda Ballard, Jami's sister and husband, Nicole and Brett were at the graduation and came to dinner.  23 May 2024, Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task Spray fruit trees with F-Stop 10:00 am - Take Debbie to her appointment for an electro-cardiogram  Pick up mail in our mailbox See what time Dan Owens is coming to check fruit trees, vegetables, roses, and lawn I slept well last night and had prayer this morning.  I let Debbie sleep, and when she woke we had prayer together.  I went with Debbie to her  electro-cardiogram test.  Dan Owens came at 10 am.  Debbie and I came back and she went to help Laura.  Dan finished pruning and working at 11:45 am.  He said to put two tablespoons of soap in the water and vinegar I use to spray the aphids.  I paid him $160 in cash.  He will come pretty much monthly starting in March next year until September.  Some months during that time he will not come.  The fruit trees look good and the roses are beautiful.  He said there are signs of powdery mildew on some of the fruit trees....

 21 May 2024, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Task Debbie and I had prayer, I trimmed my toenails, trimmed my eyebrows and nose hair, I showered and shaved, and Debbie and I worked on excursions for our trip to Amsterdam, Scotland, and Ireland.  We made flight arrangements from Dublin to LGW London on July 9th on Ryanair and hotel arrangements at the airport in London to spend the night and fly out to LAX on the morning of the 10th.  Debbie took Emlie Traveller's money lie to her home.  Her mother, Carrie, gave Debbie the bills to make the lie.  I got on the vibrating platform for 10 minutes to get some exercise in today.   I cut my fingernails and toenails about every month or so and my hair about every 3 to 4 months.  Debbie and I watched TV; I studied scriptures, and we had prayer before going to bed.

 18 May 2024, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task 1:25 pm - Abbey state tournament, Track and Field 4X100 5:00 pm - BOQ at Lehi 7th Ward Note:   In my personal history, My First Years on Earth, which I wrote in 2007 covers about 44 years.  I left out a person I want to add, Henry Austin Powell.  I started consistently keeping a daily journal in 1978 and improved as the years passed.   Our family moved from Broad Street in Old Town in Tallapoosa, Haralson County Georgia, to Pleasant Hill Community, a distance of about 4 miles in 1953.   Henry was born on 24 Jan 1890 and died on 14 March 1973.  He married Victoria Davis, my Grandmother Laura Smith McAlpin’s niece.  Henry and Victoria had two children, Emmett Leon who died of Polio at the age of 28, and his sister, Ora Jane, who my sister Ora was named after.  I do not know when Emmett contracted polio.  Polio paralyzes the lung muscles and the victim cannot breathe so I as...

 17 May 2024, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task 5:40 pm - Abbey's State Competition Track and Field 4X200 Note:  I have time today while I am at home overcoming a cold that has taken hold in my lungs and head.  I am getting better using a nebulizer, taking vitamin C, and resting.  So I am going to write some thoughts I to my children, grandchildren, and all those who come after me.  I have been studying in the Book of Mosiah and how the Lord from the time of Nephi and before had stirred up the hearts of the people in remembrance of God.  He did this by giving them  Experiences and Explanations, they are two different things.  My children and grandchildren you may have missed the life-changing experiences I've had. This is similar as it was with the Nephites and Laminates who missed the miracles that their fathers and grandfathers experienced coming to the new world or the children of the Israelites who were led out of Egypt, they did not see but...

 16 May 2024, Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task 9:00 am - Debbie's surgery on nodes that are smaller than polyps in her nasal cavity  at Revere Health in American Fork EA+, Emergency Assistance Plus insurance annual premium went up again.  I tried to cancel online but my username and password were not accepted.  I called 866-816-2073 and spoke to Sofia, who has family in Holiday, UT.  I canceled my policy, ID number 04-7503372623 for me and my wife.  I tried using it a few years ago but was told my policy does not cover that situation.   I had let it ride but when I got a notice that the premium was going up again, I just decided now was the time to cancel.  We were up at 6:30 am, had prayer, and got ready for the day.  I took Debbie to the Revere Health Clinic in American Fork at 9 am.  Dr. Hamilton did the surgery.   I went in at noon and checked her out.  We stopped at Costco pharmacy and picked up her prescrip...

 15 May 2024, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task Note:  Question to ask an atheist:  Describe the God you don't believe in.  Chances are it will be a god you and I don't believe in either.  (Asking him to describe a god he does not believe in will cause him to think.  He will have to have heard something about him that he does not like and/or does not approve of.   It will open the door for you to tell him of a God who loves him and is more just and fair than he gives him credit for.   Debbie and I both slept in this morning.  I had prayer.  Jody spent the night with us last night and this morning she and Debbie went for a walk.  Later Debbie went to get her blood drawn for lab work on her lymph nodes.  Jody and I had breakfast and listened to Unshaken, Come Follow Me with Jared Halverson's podcast.  Samantha has an infection and the doctors cannot take out her large gallstones until they get the infection do...

 14 May 2024, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Task 6:15 am Depart SAN on Delta Airlines Cofirmation No.  G7SXBH 9:22 am Arrive SLC -   Delta Flt. 2645  Uber home; 11:30 am, Brad Gale PA, (wore Matt's stretch socks today for swollen legs, got an ultrasound at Revier clinic on both legs - ";;no blood clots"; Tesla dealership, bought 2 more key cards, gave one to Debbie and asked her to keep it safe and not with her phone in case she loses her phone tesla key she can still drive the Tesla.  I told her no one is to drive the Tesla except Matthew, Michael, you, and me.  Tesla. charged me $40 for the two key cards; Debbie drove the Land Rover because Tylee borrowed the Subaru and has not returned it yet.  Debbie and I logged in worked on the cruise and tour to Europe with Matthew, Melodie, the girls, Elain, Ernie, Lori Lynn, and Vickie.  Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed.  I am tired and starting to get a cold.

13 May 2024,  Monday Priorit ized Daily Task Breakfast I had prayer and broke my fast this morning.  I. sent Jake Lively, my great nephew, a happy 23rd birthday text for yesterday.  I showered and got ready for the day.  Debbie and I had prayer together.  Rae Lynn called and Owen's flight leaves at 10 am instead of 11 am.  Matthew woke him.  I used Matt's Tesla and took Owen to catch his Alaska flight 2070.  I had to get him a boarding pass and complete an Alaska Guardian Contract Form.  It cost $75 but allowed me to go with Owen through security.  I bought us both a bacon, cheese, and egg breakfast sandwich.   I waited with him at the gate until someone from Alaska Airlines came and took him on. the plane.  I waited until after the plane took off before I left the airport.  I sent Rae Lynn, Brett, Matthew, Melodie, and Debbie's pictures.   When I got home Melodie had bought some groceries.  She br...
