Prioritized Daily Task

11:00 AM - Dickie Pucket

12:00 Noon - Nora Husley

6:15 PM - Jodee Pike and Curt Latham.  When I got up at 7 AM, Roy was already up.  I called and had prayer with Debbie.  Elain cooked oatmeal and heated up some bread I ate with peanut butter and honey.  I called the Atlanta Temple and their last sessions on Friday are 6,7, and 8 PM.  I had prayer with Roy and Elaine before packing and driving over to Tallapoosa.  I stopped to see Hoyt "Dickie" Pucket but he was not at his store.  He had driven to northeast Georgia.  I drove to Nora Husley's and visited with her and her niece, Debra Husley Casey at Pleasant Hill.  I left before noon and drove to the old home place where I grew up.  I called and talked to Eddie Lovett with the hunting club.  They plan to mow and cut the weeds and grass at the Old Indian Grave Yard down from Debra Casey's in February next year.  I walked down in the bottoms and over much of the farm checking the trees.  Some of them are ready to cut now and others need to be cut to free up the other trees to grow faster.  While I was hiking through the woods I met Nora and Mike Harris who live on Stedman Road.  Mike has liver cancer but he thinks it is in remisssion for the time being.  He gave me a ride to McAlpin Road off the Old Jacksonville Road and I visited Larry Bul, his wife Kathy, their daughter Rose, her husband Jason, their 4-year-old son Eli, and 4-month-old son Malachi.  Larry said he plans to mow the hay fields around Pleasant Hill Church soon.  I told him when it gets too much for him to keep it mowed to let me know and I will plant pine trees if I can't find someone to keep it mowed.  Curt Layton lives further down McAlpin Road.  Larry and his son-in-law Jason waved Curt when he came down the road and I rode with him to his house.  Nora Husley's son Billy Wilkerson lives further down McAlpin Road.  Nora was married to William Wilkerson but when they were divorced she took her name, Husley, back.  Billy stopped and talked to Curt.  Curt's home address is 123 McAlpin Road.  His phone number is 770-823-9264.  His wife is the secretary at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  He called and asked her when Homecoming or Decoration Day is at the church.  It will be the 2nd Sunday of August 25 (Aug. 10th),  We talked about their plans to build a recreation center.  They still plan to build it.  I told Curt I have put the farm in a family trust and no land can be sold for 75 years after I pass away and if they are serious they need to move on it before I am gone.  I also need to make sure it does not conflict with the state and the covenant or contract we sign with them for 10 years starting in January 2025.  Curt gave me a ride back up to my car.  Before I left I thanked the Lord for guiding and blessing me today.  I stopped at Captain Ds in Cedartown and had a nice fish dinner.  I stopped at the grocery store.  I bought some desserts, came home, and watched a movie on TV.  I called and talked to Debbie; we had prayer together.  I worked in my journal and did some calendaring before going to bed.
