9 am Lehi 7th Ward's Sacrament Meeting

10:30 am Abbington Memory Service Church services

I woke early, had prayer, showered, shaved, got dressed, and at 8 a.m. drove to the church and started setting up chairs for services in the building today.  At 8:30 a.m. a group of Elders came and completed the job while I had a priesthood interview with Cody Leathham to report on Jane and Mark Haws, Glenn and Wendy Smith, Neil and Ann Reay.  I did not have anything to report on Nathan Haws.  Glenn is terminal with cancer but ha and Wendy are still planning to go to Australia and New Zealand.  I drove back home to pick Debbie up.  Matthew, Bella, Michael, Alex, and Rae Lynn all came to church with us today.  After Sacrament Alex came with me and Debbie to Abbington Memory Center to set up for church services.  Michael and the others came back home and started dinner.  After church services at Abbington, we came home.  I was instructed to stay out of the kitchen until dinner was ready.  Debby had pictures on the walls and stairs going up to the playroom and bedroom.  She had 80th balloons, napkins, a birthday plate for me to eat from, etc.  We had a German chocolate cake and an angel-food cake.  The family had cards and presents. (shirts, book, wallet, and large electric snowblower, etc.).  The one gift that warmed my heart was a framed board where each of the 15 grandchildren's 80 Reasons We LOVE grandpa.  All the gifts were special and warmed my heart.  It was Alexandra's idea and my first granddaughter.  We played games, watched TV, and had family prayer before going to bed.

 21 Jun 2024, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task  St Peter Port, Quersney 10:30 pm - David Knight, H ypnotist in Coral Theather (Eric was part of the group to be hypnotised)  I was up at 5 am, had prayer, got dressed, and went down to the 6th deck at 5:40 am.  There were 3 or 4 people already waiting to get the first tender tickets for their families to get off the boat this morning.  The Royal Caribbean crew started giving out tickets before 6 am.  I got 12 tickets, came back to our cabin, and went back to bed.  Later when Debbie was getting ready to meet our group and before she left, we had prayer together.  The family went to breakfast and I slept until everyone was getting on the tender to so in to the Island of Guernsey.  27 Mar 2024, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task 11am - Dermatologist, James Macdonald in Lehi 5 pm - Debbie is taking Max to dinner for his birthday We slept in, had prayer, showered, and shaved.  I tried calling the phone number that called me yesterday evening regarding my lost suitcase by Allegiant Airlines but it was someone's personal phone number that works for Allegiant who was working from home.  I called Allegiant Airline for lost luggage at (866) 719-3910.  Their office does not open until 9 AM PST. Later Debbie and I had prayer and I went to see Dr. Macdonald.  I worked on information for the meeting with Matt McCleary on April 1st.  I went with Debbie to take Max to In and Out for fries and milkshake and then to a movie for his 10th birthday.  Afterward, we took him home.  His dad, Jared Hobbs, and brother Jack were home.  I called the main office of Allegiant Airlines for Baggage claims at 866-719-3910.  They told ...

 27 Jul 2024, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task  6 pm - take Debbie, Tylee, Jami, and Libby to SLC Airport to catch a flight  to LAX at 8:05 pm and then to Fiji Airlines  on Jet Blue Airline Note:  “God gathers, Satan divides, and Christ unites” Note:  (This is a story I have kept for years.  It has a moral, and I hope it has meaning to you)  Our house was directly across the street from the clinic entrance of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. We lived downstairs and rented the upstairs rooms to outpatients at the clinic. One summer evening as I was fixing supper, there was a knock at the door. I opened it to see a truly awful-looking man. “Why, he’s hardly taller than my eight-year-old,” I thought as I stared at the stooped, shriveled body. But the appalling thing was his face; it was lopsided from swelling and scarred, red, and raw. Yet his voice was pleasant as he said, “Good evening.
