Prioritized Daily Task

NOTE: "As a Man Thinketh" a book by James Allen, Originally published in 1902:  A man is literally what he thinks, a man's character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.  I first read the small book about 60 years ago and have never forgotten the impression it made on me. We must learn to control our thoughts.  The ability to control our thoughts will be very important to us in the spirit world after this life.  The aphorism comes from Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:........  Then Christ taught the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

I got up at 6:00 am, had prayer, showered, shaved, and got ready for church.  Debbie and I had prayer together and I went to the church at 8 am to set up chairs for the meeting held in the ward building today.  I came home and picked Debbie up for Sacrament meeting at 9 am.  At 10 am I attended priesthood and Debbie attended Relief Society.  On the way home I called Jane Haws.  She was not at church today.  She told me they had changed her schedule and she has to work every other weekend.  I called Glenn Smith but he did not answer.  I left him a message I want to know how he and his wife, Wendy, are doing.  We got home and Debbie fixed brunch.  Afterwards, I called Michael, Matthew, Beth, and Rae Lynn.  Beth is the only one I was able to talk to.  I left messages on the other's phone.  I spoke to Tucker, Maggie, and Andrew and told Beth about the movie Cabrini Debbie and I saw yesterday.  Matthew called.  Ava is sick with an infection in her eyes and ears, and Melodie has taken her to Urgent Care.  Madeline is going to be competing in the World Cheer.  We spent the day at home and got to bed about 10 pm after prayer together.

 21 Jun 2024, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task  St Peter Port, Quersney 10:30 pm - David Knight, H ypnotist in Coral Theather (Eric was part of the group to be hypnotised)  I was up at 5 am, had prayer, got dressed, and went down to the 6th deck at 5:40 am.  There were 3 or 4 people already waiting to get the first tender tickets for their families to get off the boat this morning.  The Royal Caribbean crew started giving out tickets before 6 am.  I got 12 tickets, came back to our cabin, and went back to bed.  Later when Debbie was getting ready to meet our group and before she left, we had prayer together.  The family went to breakfast and I slept until everyone was getting on the tender to so in to the Island of Guernsey.  28 Jul 2024, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task  8 am - set up chairs at Lehi 7th Ward Building 9 am - Sacrament meeting Lehi 7th Ward 10:15 am - Church at Abbington Memory Center I did not set an alarm but woke at 7 am refreshed.  My internal clock wakes me when I have got 7 to 8 hours of sleep.  I had my personal prayer, made the bed, got dressed, and was at the church building before 8 am.  I started setting up chairs in the overflow.  The first to arrive was brother Gary Pyne.   He has been a counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency but was released to serve on the stake high council.  When his meeting with the stake presidency and high council was finished he came over to the Lehi 7th Ward and helped me.  Later other brothers and some wives arrived.  We finished setting up chairs for the overflow, the Priesthood, the primary room, and the Relief Society room.  We were finished by 8:50 am.  Our new stake president ...

 27 Mar 2024, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task 11am - Dermatologist, James Macdonald in Lehi 5 pm - Debbie is taking Max to dinner for his birthday We slept in, had prayer, showered, and shaved.  I tried calling the phone number that called me yesterday evening regarding my lost suitcase by Allegiant Airlines but it was someone's personal phone number that works for Allegiant who was working from home.  I called Allegiant Airline for lost luggage at (866) 719-3910.  Their office does not open until 9 AM PST. Later Debbie and I had prayer and I went to see Dr. Macdonald.  I worked on information for the meeting with Matt McCleary on April 1st.  I went with Debbie to take Max to In and Out for fries and milkshake and then to a movie for his 10th birthday.  Afterward, we took him home.  His dad, Jared Hobbs, and brother Jack were home.  I called the main office of Allegiant Airlines for Baggage claims at 866-719-3910.  They told ...
