Prioritized Daily Task
On our own – canceled - Glasgow, Scotland, Cathedral, University of Glasgow, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Necropolis cemetery, Botanic Gardens near Kibble Palace, Scottish breakfast, a few minutes walk to the town of Greenock to explore
Debbie and I had prayer, showered, shaved, and got ready for the day. I called the Atlanta Temple and left a recorded message to have Robert McColpin and his wife, Janet McColpin's, names put on the prayer roll. They will be there for two weeks. Most of the family joined us for breakfast at the Windjammer restaurant on the 11th deck. Eric went to see the doctor on the ship and Elain and Lori Lynn slept in. At about 9 am we deboarded and walked into Greenock town center and to the town mall about a block away that is being repaired. Lori Lynn called and met us. We took a train to Glasgow. Elain called and took a cab from the dock in Greenock to the central train station in Glasgow. We met a couple of young elder missionaries from the Church in the center of town. One was from Germany and the other was from France. They could not go to lunch with us. Elain, Lori Lynn, and I ate at The Ivy, a nice British and Scottish restaurant. We had humis, fish and chips, and shepherd's pie. We stopped and Elain and Lori Lynn bought some pins from Scotland, England, Ireland, etc. We caught the train back to Greenock at about 5:30 pm. The drums and bagpipes band was playing on the dock as we boarded. I met Debbie in our suite and we went down to the Windjammer where Matthew, Melodie, Madeline, Bella, Ava, and Grandma Vickie were eating. Afterwards, Debbie and I came back to our cabin and had prayer together. I brushed my teeth and Debbie met the family at the dinner restaurant at 7:45 pm. I went to bed after transferring some of today's pictures in my journal.
