Prioritized Daily Task
9:00 am to 4:00 pm - Take boat to Aran Islands (Inishmore) and view the Cliffs of Moher from Galway
Aran Islands - Inishmore (Árainn / Inis Mór), which is the largest; Inishmaan (Inis Meáin), the second-largest; and Inisheer (Inis Oírr), the smallest.
Debbie and I were up early, had prayer, and cooked breakfast while Debbie got ready for the day. After breakfast of quiche, toast, yogurt, granola, orange juice, and milk we walked down to the pier where we caught a ferry to Inishmore the largest of the three Aran Islands. The ferry boat took us by the other two, Inishmaan and Inisheer. We packed sandwiches and took them with us this morning. It was raining when we left home this morning but this afternoon the sun came out. We took a tour bus and ate lunch in a restaurant about halfway around the island. There are from 750 to 850 people living on the island in the winter. In the summer the children come home from college and the number increases to about 1500. There is one school in Inishmore with 52 students from first through twelfth grades. Farming is difficult because the soil covering the rocks is only about 1 to 2 inches deep. The people live by raising sheep, fishing, and catering to the tourists that come by the thousands. Our tour guide, Yougie, drove and worked for the movie company that made a movie about the man of iron. On the way back the ferry took us by the Cliff of Mohey. When we got back to the pier about 6 pm, Debbie walked. back home. On the way back Debbie told me she needed to get a few things from a pharmacy. As she was telling me we saw a mall across the street from us. Debbie got what she needed; I told her we had not seen a place where we could get all the things needed yesterday or today until we reached the mall and you verbalized your need. The Lord is guiding and blessing us in so many ways every day. We got home and Debbie cooked dinner. We ate and had prayer before going to bed.
