Note: I listened to Matthew's sales approach to a prospect for his software business, "What do you need; he listens and is concerned about making life better for them and success for their business." I remember when I was a young missionary wanting to teach and bring people who would listen to a knowledge of the Savior and His work on Earth. They did not care about how much I knew until they knew how much I cared about them, and I truly loved and cared about them and still do.
I woke early this morning; Debbie was sound asleep. She showered after we went to bed last night. I showered at 4:30 am after having my personal prayer. I got dressed and went to the lobby so I could let Debbie sleep. It has been since Friday night that we slept in a bed. I did not take the elevator to the lobby but walked down the steps from the second floor to the main level. I went by the gym and fitness room and into the lobby of the Bastion Hotel. I paid $490.87 for 3 nights and 3 breakfasts. It costs about 30% less than the Best Western Plus and appears to be a newer and nicer hotel. A man from Bosnia owns both hotels. When the restaurant opened at 7 am, Debbie came down and we had a nice breakfast. When we left, two box lunches were prepared and ready for us to take. When we got back to our room someone had opened the safe in the room but the battery was not installed correctly and it was beeping. Debbie and I had prayer and let to catch a shuttle to the airport and then catch bus 300, switch or change to bus 73, and got off at Haarlem. We walked a block or two to the church. We got to the Haarlem Ward in the Hague Stake around 9:30am. We met the bishop, Bishop Mike Stigter. Church services are broadcast to those who can not come to church. Debbie and I had headphones as did several others. They did not have enough headsets and some people set in the back near the brother who was translating into English. We did not stay for Priesthood and Relief Society but caught a bus to the train station and road to downtown Amsterdam. We took a tram to the Anne Frank House and Museum. We could not go inside because we had not made reservations. Debbie had booked a walking tour but we had trouble with our bus and train transportation. We rode the train back to the airport where we caught the hotel's shuttle back to the Best Western. For dinner we ate the rest of our box lunch we had the hotel to pack for us this morning. Debbie and I had prayer together before going to bed.
