Debbie and I were up at 6:00 am, had prayer, showered, and packed.  We had toast with honey and peanut butter for breakfast.  We stripped the bed and put clean bed linen on, put the towels and bed linen in a pile together.  Matthew and Melodie are still sleeping.  I think Ava is home but Madeline and maybe Bella are spending the night with friends.  Debbie and I left the house at 7:30 pm.  I took Debbie to Terminal 2 at the San Diago International Airport and left her with most of our luggage to check.  I kept the suit and garment bag.  There is a lot of airport construction and the traffic is heavy.  I drove to NU Car Rental on Pacific Highway near the airport.  I turned the car in and was told the toll road fees with be put on my credit card.  I caught the NU shuttle to the main car rental location and waited to get a shuttle to the airport.  By now Debbie had checked our luggage to SLC and was waiting for me to go through security and get to our gate to catch our Delta Flt.   We were able to get on the plane about 5 minutes before they shut the gate.  Debbie had been upset and afraid we were going to miss our flight.  We had over 4 hours from the time we got up to turn our rental car in and catch our flight and only made it with minutes to spare.  Just a way of testing our faith.  When we got to the SLC Airport, got our luggage, and caught an Uber to our home in Lehi.  We unpacked and the washer would not work.  I pulled it out from the wall, unplugged it which reset the computer, and it worked so Debbie could wash some clothes.  Debbie and I went over our calendar for the next few weeks.  I called Gateway Stake High Council Gary Pyne (801) 318-0648, who has the assignment for Abbington Memory Center.  Brother David and Sister Marsha Knutsen, coordinators have been released to serve a mission in England.  David and Carrie Gause from the Lehi 21st ward: Greatoz7272@gmail.com; phone - 801.361.7916, have taken the Knutsen's place.  Debbie is going to contact Carrie and see if she and David will take the same schedule as the Knutsens'.  I had to pull the washing machine out and reset the computer on it by unplugging the washing machine for a few minutes.  Debbie finished washing and drying a load of clothes.  I watched a movie and had prayer before going to bed.

Blue Moon August 19, 2024 - picture taken from our backyard in Lehi, UT. The moon was not blue.  It is only blue on rare occasions, it can appear blue when viewed through tiny particles in the atmosphere, which are typically smoke and dust that filter out longer wavelengths of colors like red and yellow.  The last super blue moon was in August 2023 — but the next one won't happen until 2037, according to NASA.
