Note:   To better understand the numbers and to understand what the odds are of being born today, where freedom is possible, we need to look at the best estimates of the number of people who have ever lived on this earth.  It ranges from 100 billion to 110 billion. Being generous in our estimates, it seems clear that fewer than five billion of the earth's total inhabitants have ever lived under conditions that would be considered free.  Today there are only 22 nations that have had a democratic form of government for more than a single lifespan.  Most of these nations are European or English speaking, with Costa Rica being the only Latin American country, Israel the only nation in the Middle East, and Japan the only nation in Asia.  The Miracle of Freedom, p.12, NY Times Bestseller by Chris and Ted Stewart

Through the ages of Human experiences, most people have never been afforded the simple right of the freedom to choose.  The exception to this is the modern age in which we live.

We were up until midnight last night and slept until 7 am.  Debbie went for a walk and Jody went for a run.  I had my personal prayer, showered, and shaved.  When Debbie got home we had prayer.  We called and sang Happy Birthday to Maggie and sent her a text before she left for school.  We also talked to Beth.  Gavin is up and going to the gym before going up to the cabin to check on the work Josa and his crew are doing.  I studied scriptures and read some in 7 Tipping Points. We also sent Libby a happy birthday text this morning.  I paid tithing and fast offering for October today.  I went to Lowes and got different fasteners to attach the outdoor permanent lighting on the Lehi house eves.  Gavin went to Swiss Days in Midway with a friend after checking the work Josa and his crew are doing on the cabin.  Gabin said they were doing an excellent job in replacing the wood that we pointed out needs replacing and staining it.  I asked him if they put 3 coats of stain on.  He did not know but said he would check with Josa later in the day.  I picked the mail up and had the monthly check from A&M Investment and a letter with copies of White County Taxes for the 40+ acres (2 bills).  Jimmy divided it into thirds and asks I send him a check for my 1/3.  I made the monthly deposit and wrote A&M a check for $4,302.31.  Matt called and said Josa had called and had finished the work at the cabin and wanted to get paid.  I told Matt what Gavin had said and was comfortable trusting Gavin and would pay Josa when he come down to the home in Lehi.  I have everything he needs to complete hanging the permanent lights on the eves of the house. Debbie took Libby, her mother, her aunts, and cousins to dinner for Libby's 19th birthday.  I watched a movie, The Hill, about a preacher's son who was born handicapped and wanted to play baseball, A Hallmark-type movie.  We had prayer and got to bed about 10:30 PM.
