Prioritized Daily Task

6:00 AM - Climb to the top of Mt. Timpanogos with Gavin

I got up at 4 AM; I had prayer, dressed, and got ready for the day.  Gavin came down at 4:30 AM to make sure I was up and going.  We left the house before 5:30 AM.  We took two cars because I planned to drive to Park City to spend the night with Debbie.  Gavin has an interview for a job tomorrow in Lehi so he spending the night at the house.  I took a picture of Gavin at the house with the permanent outside colored lights before we left.  The Forest Ranger guard house was closed but the road was open.  We parked at about 6:00 AM Aspin Grove parking lot.  I put my Sr. Security Pass in my front dash.  The sun was about 20 minutes before rising so we walked slowly.  Gavin use the flashlight on his cell phone.  It was a beautiful morning with the sun lighting up the mountain and valley.  Gavin and I started hiking about a mile in 35 to 45 minutes; that gradually increased to almost an hour.  By the time we reached Glacier Lake and Gavin saw the top of Mt. Timapnogosa, he said, "This is discouraging.  According to my Apple watch, we have hiked 7.5 miles and the summit is another 3 hours or more."  The time was 12 Noon.   Gavin is usually very positive.  This morning when we started our hike it was dark and raining.  Gavin. thanked to Lord for sending the rain that would prevent any forest fires.  I was impressed because I was cold and had no rain gear.  Gavin found something good in this to thank Heavenly Father for. There had been a fire alert warning.  I told Gavin at Glacier Lake we have come far enough today.  I don't think climbing the Glacier to get to the summit will give us enough time to get to our cars before dark.  It will not be safe hiking down in the dark.  Despite the fact I had been drinking water from my camel pack and two bottles of hydration water I was losing my equilibrium.  Adding to this after we had been hiking for hours I was getting tired and starting to fall. I was very thankful and appreciative of Gavin.  I don't have the stamina I had when I was younger.  When we got back to the parking lot, Gvin's SUV had a wet ticket on it.  I took the ticket and told Gavin it was my fault.  I took care of it by paying $10 online.  Alex had texted Gavin asking him to come and help them get moved into their apartment.  Their furniture is in her Grandfather Terry McEwin's garage.  They are moving into the apartment over his garage.  She and Carter are feeding him and Chase dinner.  Gavin want to get a new pair of shoes for his interview tomorrow for a job in Lehi.  I had planned to drive up to Park City and stay in the Ski Lodge Debbie had rented but she called and was at the house in Lehi.  When. I got home and unpacked the car. I waited to shower, shave,  and eat until we got to the condo in Park City.  ai had prayer with Debbie and went to bed.  Gavin got in after we left and spent the night when he got home.
