Note: Eugene England's essay "Why the Church is as True as the Gospel," he argues that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is just as important as the Gospel itself for salvation because it serves as a "school of love" where individuals are forced to interact with and learn to love people they might not otherwise choose to associate with, thus providing a crucial element for spiritual growth and development.                                            By being part of a diverse congregation, members are pushed to overcome prejudices and learn to love others despite differences.                          England acknowledges that the Church may not always be perfect, but its imperfections do not negate its vital role in the salvation process.

I slept in, had my personal prayer, showered, shaved, and finished drying the clothes I washed last night.  Debbie called and we had prayer together.  I called Monique Carruth, in Buchanan at the County Appraiser's Office about feeding 1 acre to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church to build a Family Center and not break our 10-year Tax Covenant with the State.  She said I have a window during the month of December this year if I plan to renew the covenant. Later I got Max's blower from the garage and blew the leaves out from the driveway.  I cooked eggs, cheese, and hashbrowns for brunch.  I called and talked to Dan Truitt, Ora's widower.  He told me the forest service sent him an aerial view of the 600+ acres near Delta, AL.  They have pine beetles in the trees.  I tried to call foresters, Tracy Dickerson for the 278 acres and Jessie Thompson for the 60 acres, both in Haralson County.  I had trouble with Tracy Dickerson last time when the trees were thinned.  The person from Cleburne County, Alabama he contracted with for us to cut the fire breaks for a control burn broke the gate the hunters put up to keep poachers out.  He defended to person who broke the metal and wood post gate and would not ask him to fix or replace the fence.  I may not use Tracy Dickerson again.  I tried calling David McCollum but no answer.  I also tried calling Jessie Thompson, the forester who is helping Dan and me with the 60 acres in Haralson County that Ora wanted to use when she was living.  I sent Curt and Jodee a text asking them to give me a call.  I talked to Curt later and he gave me the Minister at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Wayne Morris' phone number, 404-754-0001.  I told Curt what Monique Carruth, in the county assessor's office said about the tax covenant I have on the land and the restrictions that are.on me selling or deeding any of it, but if I act before December 24, 2024, sometime in December, it will be OK to transfer an acre to the church for a Family Center.  I called and talked to Debbie, and we had prayer together.  I got to bed before midnight.
