 16 Oct 2024, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task I was up before 7 AM and had prayer.  Michael and Debbie are still sleeping.  I sent an email to Jimmy Morris with items I want to have included in A&M Investment members' meeting on Monday, Nov. 4th.  Debbie went to see Brad Gale, PA for her appointment.  I called Dominion Energy Solutions at 801-610-9779, the crew they sent to the house to insulate it for winter turned the gas off to the hot water heater tank downstairs and we ran out of hot water.  They sent a supervisor an hour or so later and he reset the pilot light and we now have hot water.  I received an email this afternoon that Jimmy received my email and will add the items I sent on the agenda for the A&M members meeting on Nov. 4th in Gainesville, GA.  I read and ate a little lunch before 3 PM.  Later Debbie cooked dinner.  I turned the water off the irrigation system and the water faucets in the front and back outside the house and drained the water lines. Whitney.                                              I have been looking for this quote by Orson Whitney for a long time because of the Savior's admonition, "be of good cheer",  John 16:33.  Then in 3 Ne 17, The Savior teaches us how to communicate, "recognize their emotions, explore their story, attend to their deeper needs, and then lift".  Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved.  14 Oct 2024, Monday Priorit ized Daily Task 10:30AM - Dr. Clint Mower DO, Family Practice with Brad Gale PA Up at 7 AM, prayer, showered, dressed, and checked in to my medical appointment at Family Medical online.  Debbie got up before I left and we had prayer together.  I studied scriptures and read.  A little after 10 AM I drove to Family Practice on Main St. and saw Dr. Clint Mower.  He is setting an appointment for a brain CT.  We had a good visit.  I saw the X-rays on my right knee.  There is space between the ball of the knee and the bone it fits into.  I told him I plan to hike to Base Camp at Mt. Everest and don't want to have any problems with my knees.  He is arranging for me to get some PT to strengthen my knees before I leave.  I got home and I had a text from Caecee with Lawn Doctor that he is coming out to spray again for the crab grass.  Later Dominion Energy sent a crew to test the house to be sure it is tight and will not be leaking heat this winter.  They did som

 13 Oct 2024, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task 8:00 AM - set up chairs in overflow and gym in ward building 9:00 AM - Sacrament meeting 10:30 AM - Church at Abbington Memory Center GET TEMPLE RECOMMEND RENEWED Notes on navel hernia surgery - No Oxycodone or other pain medicine since before surgery on Thursday, Oct. 10th; no bowel movement, constipation for 7 days; started taking Citricel, (two glasses) it did not help, Debbie went to the pharmacy and got some Dulcolax pills, and liquid laxative; I took 3 pills 5 mg each Saturday morning; It did not work and this morning at 2 AM I took 60 ml of Dulcolax liquid and a little after 8 AM constipation gradually started breaking up.  I am still bleeding a little from surgery on Oct 10th and the pain level is still a little high.  I had prayer showered shaved and put a bandaid on navel; had prayer with Debbie.  She attended Fast and Testimony meeting at Lehi 7th Ward.  She came home and picked me up for church and we went to Abbington Memory Cen

 12 Oct 2024, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task 5:30 PM - Lehi 7th Ward Chili Cook Off 2:00 PM - BYU and Arizona Football Game in Provo. Debbie and I slept in.  We had prayer and Debbie went to the drugstore and bought some Dulcolax for constipation relief.   Ryan, Stephanie, and the children spent the night last night and they took Debbie with them to the BYU and Arizona football game.  I stayed in bed and took three Dulcolix pills.  BYU won 41 to 19.  Georgia's football team won over SC, 27 to 25.  I stayed in bed, read, and watched the TV.  Ryan brought Debbie, his mother, home.  Later, Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed.  I did not attend the ward chili cook off this afternoon.

 11 Oct 2024, Friday Ashlyn Grace McAlpin's 17th Birthday Debbie and I are both sore this morning.  Debbie from working out at weight training and me from hernia surgery.  We had prayer and I sent Gracie a happy 17th birthday text.  I ordered a container of earwig bait, Sluggo Plus, from Amazon.  I called the Utah County Election Committee and our ballot for this year's political election will be mailed to us on Oct. 15th.  Debbie went to see Clara play softball.  I went back to my 2022 and 2023 journals looking at the information on supplements I was taking with Dr. David Sinclair of Harvard with the Inside Tracker program, mainly the NMN and Resveratrol supplements.  Basically what I learned was that most types of dementia are not reversible because the brain damage that occurs is permanent.  I guess I just think the Lord and move on making the most out of it.  I talked to Michael and Matthew.  I called and talked to "Dickie" Hoyt Puckett, an old friend on the phone

 10 Oct 2024, Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task 6:00 AM - Dr. Reese Davis, hernia Surgery Call 801-768-1699 Dr.Clint Mower for X-ray report on knee My alarm woke me at 4:00 AM.  I had prayer, showered, and started getting ready.  Debbie woke at 4:30 AM and we had prayer. I did not eat anything this morning and Debbie rode with me up to Lone Peak Surgery Center, 96 Kimballs Ln Suite 100, Draper, UT 84020 at 6:00 AM.  I signed in and Debbie signed in as the person driving me home.   We both received instructions and I was checked in.  Debbie left to go to her weight training class at 7 AM.  The  anesthetist  came in and put some pain medicine in the port a nurse put in earlier.  I was rolled down to the operating room and was not aware of anything until I the surgery was over.  I did not recall or know the surgery was over except for a dull pain in my stomach area.  Debbie came in and I got dressed.  The nurse brought a wheelchair in and gave me a ride to my car where Debbie picked me up
