 31 Oct 2024, Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task I got a good night's sleep, had prayer, showered and shaved, and got ready for the day.  I called Jesse Thompson, Forester, about the 60 acres of timber in Pleasant Hill.  He was at the gym when I called.  I asked him to check the trees and see what he thinks.  The next time we clear-cut the land I hope we can replant with long-leaf Pine.  I did some calendaring and wrote in my journal.  It rained last night and Max wants to wait until the rain dries before we work outside.  I looked at the NH financials Andy and Brad sent.  I called and talked to Brett about coming to Georgia.  He is flying on Saturday evening and has reserved a rental car.  I have him a room at Day's Inn where Alex and Carter are staying.  Max and I had eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and apple cyder for brunch.  I helped Max rake and pickup leaves after we had blown them in a pile.  Max had Paul Rogers a...

 29 Oct 2024, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Task 11:00 AM - Dickie Pucket  12:00 Noon -  Nora Husley 6:15 PM - Jodee Pike and Curt Latham.  When I got up at 7 AM, Roy was already up.  I called and had prayer with Debbie.  Elain cooked oatmeal and heated up some bread I ate with peanut butter and honey.  I called the Atlanta Temple and their last sessions on Friday are 6,7, and 8 PM.  I had prayer with Roy and Elaine before packing and driving over to Tallapoosa.  I stopped to see Hoyt "Dickie" Pucket but he was not at his store.  He had driven to northeast Georgia.  I drove to Nora Husley's and visited with her and her niece, Debra Husley Casey at Pleasant Hill.  I left before noon and drove to the old home place where I grew up.  I called and talked to Eddie Lovett with the hunting club.  They plan to mow and cut the weeds and grass at the Old Indian Grave Yard down from Debra Casey's in February next year.  I...

 27 Oct 2024, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task 10:30 AM - Debbie is covering Abbington Memory Center's church services for us I was up at 7 AM, had prayer, showered, shaved, and got dressed.  I called and talked to Debbiea.  We had prayer together and I rode to church with Max at the Cedartown Branch.  I saw Joan Dupont, Max's sister, and sit with her, Max, and Debbie.  I saw a lot of old friends.  Jonathan Hibbert, counselor in the Branch Presidency, spoke.  I met Elder Osmond at church today.  He graduated from Long Peak High School this year.  Elder Alex Gourley graduated from Long Peak about the same time.  Max got sick during the sacrament meeting.  When the meeting ended I took him home.  When Debbie got home from church, she fixed lunch for all of us.  Later I drove up to Rome and visited with Charlie and Shirley Hibbert.  They are in poor health and the visit with them was time well spent.  I felt sorr...

 26 Oct 2024, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task Max and Debbie's in Cedartown Visit Earlton Youngblood and Bethel Church near Delta, AL I slept in, prayer, showered, shaved, and called Debbie.  We had prayer together.  Max and I drove over to Earlton B. Youngblood's in  Gaylesville, Alabama.  I rented a room and stayed in upstairs in the house he was building.  It looks much different than it did 10 years ago.  It was the second time I had rented a room from him and Sandy.  Sandy passed away on June 18th of this year.   Earlton has been living by himself and is not doing well.  He will be 85 years old on April 9th of next year.  I took some pictures.  One was the bedroom that wasn't finished and not heated in the winter.  There were no stairs and I climbed a ladder to get to my room.  Max and I took him to brunch at a small family-run drive-through in Lyery, GA.  We brought the food and handmade lemonade...

 16 Oct 2024, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task I was up before 7 AM and had prayer.  Michael and Debbie are still sleeping.  I sent an email to Jimmy Morris with items I want to have included in A&M Investment members' meeting on Monday, Nov. 4th.  Debbie went to see Brad Gale, PA for her appointment.  I called Dominion Energy Solutions at 801-610-9779, the crew they sent to the house to insulate it for winter turned the gas off to the hot water heater tank downstairs and we ran out of hot water.  They sent a supervisor an hour or so later and he reset the pilot light and we now have hot water.  I received an email this afternoon that Jimmy received my email and will add the items I sent on the agenda for the A&M members meeting on Nov. 4th in Gainesville, GA.  I read and ate a little lunch before 3 PM.  Later Debbie cooked dinner.  I turned the water off the irrigation system and the water faucets in the front and back out...
